Hi again Gaz....can I just point out that under no circumstances would I rule out alien abduction lol.....it's certainly feasible.....It was probably the last thing on your mind at the time but 'keeping a sample' of the residue from your nostrils would have been pretty useful lol.....ach well...there's always the next time

thanks for the extra info, very interesting to find the site on dust particles, maybe this could add further research to things, ingestion of something would appear to be most rational, but all 3 of us? and only one nostril? unfortunately ben, having a clean nose and not a bluey/gooey one was priority on that morning LOL but now i wished i had saved the evidence

Interesting story and I am sure it has you baffled but I would take RW's advise. Well if anything else happens keep track and write back and I am sure RW and others can give you valuable in-put. It certainly would have me wondering. Now this is a ridiculous idea but by any chance could your daughter or husband have played a gag?

hi rube, we are pretty certain that no-one played a joke, and are sure one of the three of us would have woken up .....guess we just have to put it down to unexplainable !!!!!!!

Well I know that would have been to easy a solution! Well just keep a diary and write back when you can and I am sure someone with more expertise in this area like RW or some of the other posters will support you.

Hi gazandandi! I'm a nurse and would like to comment. First...If you had carbon monoxide poisoning you would exhibit some of , if not all of, these symptoms: Nausea and/or vomiting, bluish tinge or mottled look to your skin (head to toe) and....you wouldn't wake up unless resuscitated..then you'd have a helluva headache. Secondly...the only normal kind of discharge from the nose is: green (indicating infection), yellow, white or clear. Sometimes blood tinged from dried out passages or heavy blowing. If you had any kind of black or sooty kind of discharge you might be able to attribute it to smoke from a fire in the fireplace. Black, wet discharge might indicate old blood that has coagulated up in the nasal cavity. Gooey...I don't think so. Either way, a very interesting story. I don't know of anything that would only affect one side , the same side , of each of your noses. Hope this is useful.

sure is interesting but like ben said, you'll have to wait till next time something happens then do more about it. seems like repeat experiences aren't rare for abductees. Hope you find more answers.
