US: The New Police State

I have been discussing the possibility that the United States is slowly becoming a police state. Ever since 9-11, things have been getting weird here. Everyone is just acting weird. The government has been taking away many of our rights, and now they can legally spy on us, monitor out phone calls, purchases, and the like; through the Patriot Act. We are soooo moving toward a Nazi Germany state here, and it won't be to long from now when they are saying things like: " There is a curfew tonight starting at 9PM because there is a possible terrorist threat to you. If you are in the streets after 9PM and don't have proper ID, you will be shot on sight as you may be a terrorist." OK, maybe that is a little exaggerated, but you get my point.
