    Default Some ideas for progress

heres somethig i wrote the other day while bored, i'm going to uni on saturday, so i've had a lot of spare time, so yeah, people, just let me know ideas, bad and good,

When considering the government of a country, one should first consider its people, for without people, there is nothing to govern, However, it would seem, and this article is directed mainly to the united Kingdom but can be related to other countries as well, it would seem the government has lost sight of the people, and the people have lost sight of the government. Basically, the people do not care about the government, and the government do not care about the people. Too long have the people been ignored, and led to believe that they are just ordinary people, and government officials are somehow above them. Yet this is untrue, as it is the ordinary people in this country that matter the most, they are the people the government should revolve around, as you are reading this you will immediately think of communism, now although I do not deny I have been inspired by communism, I am not suggesting a system of government in which we share everything, in fact, I am not suggesting anything, I am simply saying, why do we not ask the people what they want, as after all it is their government.
Currently, the government works by a small minority, generally from a Cambridge or oxford background who make decisions based on their own self interest, we have hypocritical people who on the one hand pretend that because they have been to university are morally higher than we are, that they are more suitable to run our country, yet find it necessary to stab other politicians in the backs and sometimes cheat on their wives. Too long has politics and scandal gone together, hypocritical backstabbing, power hungry adulterers. If you are to lead a country, then some sort of moral grounding is nessecary, yet as I said before, the people have simply lost interest, we are swayed by empty promises to lower taxes or build more hospitals, yet what we really need, is a chance to voice our own opinions in a way that matters.
What you are probably thinking now is that I have said very little about intentions, and about what I actually want for the country, well now I will try and explain briefly what it is I want. I am not suggesting that we don’t allow people power, but I am saying we give people power that at any point can be taken from them by the people, we do not have to suffer in tyranny. Now, many see this as unrealistic, but I know, given the chance, I would not abuse power, but use it for the good that no one has ever used for in the past. Firstly, government meetings would no longer be held in the houses of parliament, but in Hyde park, or a similar public venue, in which anyone can turn up to, and join in with, and express their opinion, this would be daily, every week the main governing body would travel to another part of the country, gathering information and ideas, these ideas would then be published in a free paper available to all, in several languages, and posted on an internet blog site, which would not be moderated, so in effect, there would be total freedom of speech and expression, by a public voted, the governing body could removed, and a new one put in place, this truly would be a government by the people for the people.
However, I have not as yet stated my ideas for England, my ideas of foreign or domestic policy, and how I would intend to make our nation great again, that will be in my next article, however, what I have done is given you an idea of the sort of government I wish to run, and the way it will be run. I feel that if we ever want to progress both technologically, morally, politically, and in every other way, we must take away the idea that one person or group is better than anyone else, once we realise that, then maybe, we can progress.

I have often wondered where we went wrong. The people of the USA have become drones. We do the same things every day and we voice our opinions but thats where it stops. The govt needs to go back to the people and we should have a hell of alot more say in the govt going ons, but sadly we dont, and thats the peoples fault. The govt knows we will follow and do as we are told. Every once in a while a strong willed person stands up for whats right and then you never hear from them again. Tell you any thing?
Whoever said anything was possible, obviouly never tried slamming a revolving door.

yes, it tells me that strong willed person didn't try hard enough, we have to make the people care, i'm a strong willed person, and i care about the people, and i personally think that the people do care, they have just given up, they think its fruitless to want to change as they are so used to being ignored, i mean, maybe its dangerous giving the mob a voice, but i think its important, its the only way we can progree, together

The people are lazy and want to give the government more power over our lives.
