If they would could that bring Russia into it and since America would fall behind Israel that would be all kinda bad news.
When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth....maybe.

Look I will be the first to admit that Im not an expert in middle eastern affairs but it does seem a bit hypercritical to me that the nuclear powers are so against this.

I understand they dont want nuclear arms being made and stockpiled by any new players (nations) but is it fair to stop them from making nuclear reactors for domistic power? Why should countries be forced to relie on fossil fuels for power when many western countries utilise nuclear power?

Wow! That is amazing! Hard to believe that he is outlining a timetable to strike a foreign country. I don't know allot about the intricacies and politics of the Iranian Nuclear situation other than the say it is for power generation. I would of thought that the Russians would have been pretty clear with them about appropriate use for the Uranium they are supplying them with. I cannot personally see this turning into a weapons plant. I feel and hope it is all legit.

It would be crazy for the Russians to supply any radioactive material to anyone who they thought were a risk of creating Nuclear arsenal out of. I would of love to see the risk assessment for this one!

As for John Bolton, WTF is this guy thinking? I suppose on one hand he is saying if you are going to strike do it now, but on the other, seems like it is a personal endorsement, if I have read the article correctly.

    I don't get it!

Annual Threat Assessment [2010] of the US Intelligence Community for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence
ATA FEB 2010–IC STATEMENT FOR THE RECORD

    Iranian WMD and Missile Program
The Iranian regime continues to flout UN Security Council restrictions on its nuclear program.
There is a real risk that its nuclear program will prompt other countries in the Middle East to pursue nuclear options.
We continue to assess Iran is keeping open the option to develop nuclear weapons in part by developing various nuclear capabilities that bring it closer to being able to produce such weapons, should it choose to do so.
We do not know, however, if Iran will eventually decide to build nuclear weapons.
I would like to draw your attention to two examples over the past year that illustrate some of the capabilities Iran is developing.

...Iran has been constructing—in secret until last September [2009]—a second uranium enrichment plant deep under a mountain near the city of Qom.
It is unclear to us whether Iran's motivations for building this facility go beyond its publicly claimed intent to preserve enrichment know-how if attacked, but the existence of the facility and some of its design features raise our concerns.

The facility is too small to produce regular fuel reloads for civilian nuclear power plants,
but is large enough for weapons purposes if Iran opts configure it for highly enriched uranium production.

It is worth noting that the small size of the facility and the security afforded the site by its construction under a mountain fit nicely with a strategy of keeping the option open to build a nuclear weapon at some future date, if Tehran ever decides to do so.

Okay I didnt know that thanks. I would still be dubious however about the accuracy of some of these reports. We all know just how many WMD's wherent found in Iraq, the stated legitamency for war, now dont we.
