You could maybe trust close family but friends I'm not so sure...

Eeeww...Coroner your last statement about eating people...I don't wanna be anywhere near you in 2012!! Though cannabilism would be rife if other sources of food was scarce.

Very true for anyone who cares about keeping themselves and family alive. Just don't turn your back to Coroner or he will be a coroner and check if your dead before he feasts upon you. Heres a few "food substitutes" that were eaten in real life starvation cases: wallpaper, glue from furniture joints, rats and mice, seaweed, tree bark, grass and weeds, obscure plant seeds, corn stalks, dirt and clay(mixed with salt and water to make "dough", gives a full feeling), dogs, cats, horses, bugs and more bugs, mammal bones and raw skin, crows, ravens and vultures, other people, rawhide and leather, nearly any living or dead creature that flies, crawls, walks or swims, your enemy, preserved human organs in jars.

Dee, I was disappointed with that link, I was expecting to see some tasty recipes.

Very interesting that no one has said they would become "evil". In my opinion its human nature to look out for yourself, so I think if you needed food etc.... Many people would do things that would probably be classed as evil, such as killing someone over a water bottle when things got desperate.

I think the only people who would stand a chance would be the ones who live a long way away from other people

Probably be a lone wanderer, but id want loads of medical supplies, water pura tabs and this!
