Well that's good to know. It would be a shame to lose a few politicians.

Some may say this is entrapment but where there's a will there's a way, he could have obtained explosives from a source the Agents didn't know about...
Police: Suicide attack on U.S. Capitol foiled - CNN.comWashington (CNN) -- U.S. Capitol Police and the FBI on Friday arrested a Moroccan man who was planning a suicide attack on the Capitol, police and a federal law-enforcement official said.
The man received what he thought was a vest with explosives, but the materials in the vest had been rendered inoperable by law enforcement, Justice Department spokesman Dean Boyd said.
The man was arrested as soon as he accepted the vest from undercover officers, the federal law-enforcement source said.
The man had been closely monitored as part of a lengthy and extensive undercover operation, police said, adding U.S. Capitol Police had been "intimately" involved in the investigation.
The public was never in danger, police said.
The official said the person is not connected to a terrorist organization and was acting alone.
Well that's good to know. It would be a shame to lose a few politicians.
HAH!
It could be seen as entrapment, but it really depends on some missing information. If the police set the whole thing up and encouraged him to do so when he'd given no indication of intending to do so before, that would be entrapment. However if they were already investigating him because he had indicated his own plans in the past, or was actively seeking out someone to help him carry it out, then that's just good undercover work on their part.
Eaten any good books lately?
Flight, you are right about what you said about entrapment. If he wasn't encouraged to do it but the feds, then it isn't entrapment.
My mind not only wanders, sometimes it leaves completely.
It must be an easy thing, to find people within the US that would kill themselves to rid the US of politicians. You know the old saying, politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often and for the same reason. This guy was serious about changing some shitty diapers wasn't he.![]()
If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.

Entrapment requires the law to induce a person into doing something they would not consider doing otherwise.
If the law simply enabled them to do something they were already pre-disposed to do, it is not entrapment.
If they offered him $50,000 to commit a crime, thats entrapment.
Providing him real or imagined tools to carry out his crime, thats a good bust.
Whatever works, use it.
A good idea stands on its own value independent of authorship.
If it stands or falls on the credibility of the author, maybe it isn't such a good idea.
Waita say what I just said three posts ago.. lol
Eaten any good books lately?
Well, since they knew he was an illegal alien, why waste all the tax dollars? Is it that hard to drive to the airport and just ship someone back to their country. No arresting, no big convoluted plans, no fake bombs (guess they learned their lesson and quite giving them live ones) and just send these people back to country of origin and let their government deal with it.
