    Question Religions and Aliens

    Hello all.
I was thinking about the religions of the world, and I realized that all of them have many things in common. What if, like it subtly stated in "Chariots of the Gods", that there were aliens who visited the world long ago, but people forgot things they said so they pieced together some of it for their religions to help explain what they encountered and what these people from the sky were. If any of you are X-Files fans, there was an epsiode about Scully finding a spacecraft with religious writings on it, saying what we may regard as truth is not the truth at all; we may have messed up some of our ideas. I mean, if we do discover life beyond Earth, religions around the world will be null and void. Why do most of the religions say there are just the Heavens (whatever that is) and the Earth. But no other life forms. Please feel free to debate, for I, myself, am wondering what other believe to be the "truth".
    We wanted to believe
We wanted to call out, but the tools were taken away.
The X-Files had been shut down.
    They closed our eyes
    Our voices have been silenced
Our ears now deaf to the realms of extreme possibilities.

    Hi there lostmulder108,

The weird thing about "these people from the sky" was that they couldn't have brought us more religion if they were missionaries. And human minds seem primed for faith, of any kind. It's hard to find a natural living tribe anywhere without some form of religious belief & practice.

So, my position is that as Mankind opens its eyes to Extraterrestrial Life, our religions will go on.

Surely some aliens believe in God too. Our early human ancestors made no greater mistake than mistaking awesome diskriding messengers for gods.

I remember that episode, it was arabic writing in the craft and did you know Islam is the only religion that acknowledges other world and humanoids. I have read in sum Islamic book about a place in the center of the earth and it is called Shamballa and other beings use this place as a a base on Earth and years later i read in ufo books about ufo's going into the earth and sea's, this is really intresting and im sure if you look it up in religious islamic books there is texts.
    We definately not alone

that makes sense, especially when you consider some of the phenomenon described in religious texts.

one of my personal favorite theories, which I've always believed to be true since I was a little kid, was that When Noah was on his boat from the old earth to the new one, that he left Mars, which was our old Earth, and moved to the Earth we're inhabbitting now.

This always made sense to me on multiple levels, if not for trace evidence of water having been mars, then for the fact that, if extraterrestrials did exist on mars, they would be people who were stuck on old earth who were punished for the evil things they did, but, in living on, grew jealous of us on earth and devised a plan to take our planet for themselves.

Asura, that does make a lot of sense about Noah fleeing Mars for Earth and the jealous ones (Greys) being pis*ed off at it.

We just don't know what happened all those years ago.I'm pretty sure that 'aliens' are the cause of most religions in an attempt to educate our morality and confine us spiritually.
They teach us to control our greed, anger, envy and selfness and also to not consort with spirits or delve into magic or we'll go to Hell.
In other words:- "Do as I say and not as I do.". The swine's.

Ps, you have a lovely singing voice Asura.I was moved to tears....

YES! all those years of chorus paid off! T_T I can die a happy man now...

    swine...funny cause we're not supposed to eat...well...I'm not...XP

but speaking of religion, one of things I always found interesting was Islam's views on certain animals. particularly dogs and pigs.

dogs are looked down on but arn't banned, because supposedly they're easily manipulated. and though many believe that to be spiritually, I believe recent evidence, including a special episode of NOVA I sawa on PBS, may prove that it might have referred to physically, as canine dna has seen more mutations, split offs, and variations in the past century than any other creature on the planet.

as per pigs, Islam says that pigs are looked down on because supposed they're genetic hybrids between cats, dogs and rats. I don't know if I believe that to be entirely true, but lets say aliens, and not higher, benevolent power, then isn't it possible that they're saying that either: 1: they don't want us to do genetic experiments, for fear of unlocking something perhaps hidden in our dna, or 2: we should be ware of genetic mutations because we dont' fully understand it, and, as such, it can lead to our downfall.

Does it mention that pigs are hybrids in the Qran or is it just a belief of the Islamic?

In the Jehovah witness religion they are told not to share blood.Despite it being seen as a cruel rule when their children need organ transplants,it came in handy when aids came out.
Perhaps we were told things long ago by 'aliens' that were warnings of future plagues?

The Greys genetic interest maybe trying to cover up a DNA trait. It maybe possible that certain animals on our menu are laced with a genetic inhibitor. So the Islamic people are told not to eat pigs.
Perhaps the Islamic's are the Greys favourite people with just the right DNA? (for whatever purpose)
I wonder if alien abduction is less in Islamic society?
