Here is the story of how Martian dust devil rescued the Rover missions.

Here is a typical Martian dust devil in action,

Below is a few link to video clip of these in action,

On January 3rd of 2005, the power level on the Rover Spirit was dropping low due to the layer of dust on the solar panel.

Compare the above images taken of the sun dial on Sol 9 versus sol 357.

Then a few day later on Sol 426 the Spirit regained a substantial amount of its power from the solar panels.
Compare the images of the sundial on Sol 416 versus 426,

Amazingly the sun dial is now free of dust only 10 days later.

NASA attributed this cleaning of the dust on solar panel to Martian dust devils. And the evidence of this can be found on images taken between these 2 dates as Spirit photographed number of dust devils.

But something is a little wrong here. I will discus that in later post.

Anyone who has looked into Rover photos for anomalies would recognize this image of what look like wooden log.

Here is the photo of the famous "wooden log" that the Rover Opportunity ran over.

While studying this set of photos, we found this square shaped depression we think is more solid evidence of an artificial structure that once stood on Mars.

Here is image of the from Spirit PANCAM taken in 2008 during Sol 1448. Here is the false color image,

You will notice a circular mark or sign on the top left corner of the image. Here is a closeup of the mark or sign.

This is clearly visible even on the raw image.

Here is the link to the originals for for those too lazy to use the search for them.

In false color published in the image gallery,

And here is the raw image from Sol 1448 from Rover Spirit's PANCAM,

Here is an interesting object in the middle of Alluvial Fan.

PSP_001415_1875 was studied by U of Az for Alluvial Fan characteristic on Mars.

It was this same photo that was mailed to John Lear since they wanted us to look at the usual tracks on Mars. I posted this in full details in another thread.

Later we found this usual object on this same photo.

In false color,

For those of you know me, I presented information taken from NASA presentation of Humphrey and the trilobite fossil.

In those presentation, we found this unusual object. It seems to be out of place or odd in shape.

Natural or artificial?
