Have any of you read books by Whitley Strieber? I'm just curious.
I finished reading his book "The Grays" in just a matter of two and a half days and I was really impressed with it. It had sort of a "Taken" vibe to it but was much more of a thriller. I've begun reading "Communion" which is supposed to be his true account of an alien abduction. Normally I'm a skeptic when it comes to abductions but as I read it, I've been reading with an open mind. I guess because of coming off of just reading "The Grays". Even though that one was a fiction piece, at the same time it raises those "just what if" sort of questions. After reading "The Grays" I found out about this other book called "2012: The War for Souls". I figured it had to be the sequel and sure enough it is. I've got it on hold at our local bookstore so I look forward to picking it up and reading it. In general when it comes to Strieber, I've been a skeptic but lately though, I'm beginning to get the vibe that just maybe he is telling the truth after all.

Okay so I recently bought the book, "Communion: A True Story" by Whitley Strieber. I had seen this book around for years but never got around to it. This past Saturday my mom and I went to Barnes & Noble since she wanted to get me the new Nicholas Sparks book and she also let me get a second book.
Naturally I went over to where they carry the books on aliens and ufos and again I saw "Communion". I just had the nagging urge of getting it after avoiding it for so long. Anyways, I wanted to get your opinion on the book for those of you who have had the chance of reading it.

Just curious but do any of you ever go to any UFO lectures whenever they are in town?
And I wanted to ask this question as well: Do any of you know of someone named Robert Hastings? The reason I ask is because he's gonna be giving a lecture that I'm considering on going to. If you have any information on this guy I would greatly appreciate it.

I really haven't seen a topic like this around here so I thought I would bring it up and it might be a little nice ice-breaker:
We all come to this site for some reason or other. We've had experiences with EBEs, we've seen certain things that make us question, or we have never had any experiences but we believe with more than the "normal" amount of force and are obsessed with this sort of thing for some apparent reason that we can't seem to comprehend. Now my question is, how do you deal with this stuff when you are not on this site, when you're out in the real world? Do you keep this stuff a secret or do you share it with people in your everyday life? My friends consider me to be a freak. Some of them believe in life on other worlds and UFOs but none of them obsess about it as much as I do (hence the freak part). Sometimes it can be hard because I'll have so much to say but they won't want to hear any of it since it's of no particular interest to them. I don't know why but since I was 8 was when I started developing this obsession. And the more I researched the more obsessed I became. I really don't understand my fascination with EBEs and UFOs. And the funny part about it is that I seem to be the only one in my family that's interested in this stuff so, like my friends, I feel I have to keep things to a minimum so they don't get bored. What are your stories?

I just bought this book a couple of days ago. I was wondering if any of you have read it and what your thoughts were. Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
