yeah but the fact there is evidence that water was/is there, scientist have stated that is an essential ingredient for life
also something below the surface must be heating it up in order for it to flow above the surface, no matter how long it stays in liquid from
There is in fact water on Mars, as this photo proves.

The search for water on Mars and other planets in our immediate galaxy is all tied up with the search for life.
Its sickening in a way because NASA already knows that there is intelligent lifeforms visting us. And there must be water. So why all the drama? Its like two stories that are running parallel to one another. One for public consumption, the other for the secret world of Government.
There is other big news. NASA plans to build a moon base my 2020. Work is underway.
One last question though.
Would the water on Mars be any different then the water on Earth? In composition? Taste? Would we fall sick drinking it? Or is it all the same?
A little off-topic, but i just drop it in here...
TMA-1. "The Martian Artifact," captures the topography of Mars in 3-dimensional relief, including an extremely accurate depiction of the Valles Marinaris, with its long, winding twin trench canyons called Ius and Tithoneus. It delineates the contours of Ophir, Candor and Mellas Chasmas, as well as, the adjacent region, Solis Lacus, which in darkness forms the pupil of "The Eye of Mars." TMA-1 renders the topography of unique ridges, mounds, valleys and the steeply incline slopes and palisades of surrounding of regions named "Syria" and "Sinai" by NASA.

H20 is H20. I believe what they've theorized is that it appears to be water based on the fact that it's liquid, and obviously abundant enough to cause flow patterns and disturb the planet surface (something we know water does here as well). No samples have ever been returned to earth, or any actual samples taken, analyzed by the Rover, and the data transmitted back to earth. It may be high in sulfer, or iron, or full of something else that may mean that it would need treatment prior to being useable for consumption. But the question of whether it's useable water, by human consumption standards, probably won't be answered for another 20 years or so, when we can send either send a probe that will return to us, or a manned mission where testing can take place.Originally posted by Forever;299519+--><div class='quotetop'>(Forever;299519)</div>Er, huh? There's no way for any of us to know that NASA is hiding knowledge of intelligent lifeforms visiting us. Sure, I believe it's entirely possible, and we can guess that the powers that be would willingly hide such information, but please at least admit that this is merely a hunch based on absolutely nothing substantial but heresay and conspiracy theories. Its sickening in a way because NASA already knows that there is intelligent lifeforms visting us. thats awesome, thanks for thisOriginally posted by Stari;299442
[b]Check this image out click here. This link shows that bugs are currently on Mars. I have been researching and analyzing images that I have found from all of the NASA missions to the red planet and I believe that this image shows a bug flying.
With todays (12-6-06) new announcement of water on Mars this only helps the debate for this image showing a bug.
it looks to big to be something carried by the wind
yeah good stuff guys keep it going.... The face on mars now water. I can't wait until what we know in 20 years.
