Heya' Liz, I'm happy to answer.

1. Do you believe in extraterrestrials? Why or why not?
Yes. I don't believe they're or have visited earth though. The reason why I believe extraterrestrial life does exist is because of the sheer size of the universe, it's illogical to think the random life causing events haven't happened else where.

2. If you do not believe in extraterrestrials, what is it that draws you to the idea of them? What interests you about these “cultural phenomenon”?
Erm, I'm not sure if know how to answer that one. Perhaps it's just because I'm a technology freak. It's why shows such as BSG and ST have interested me, because how we predict alien races to be technological is a good representation of how we believe ourselfs might be in the future.

2. What do these beings look like? (I.e. color, shape, height, etc.)
Who knows... Just look at the number of species on this planet and how different some can be from each other. For all we know they could be like oversized shrimp that ride Space-faring Jellyfish. But that still uses animals similar to earthly creatures.

3. Where do you think they come from, and why?
N/A

4. Does today’s culture, such as movies, novels, etc. portray them realistically? Why do you think this?
Nope, because, except for the rare few, our imaginations build upon what we know. As are most alien depictions. Such as how most of them are humanoids, and even the naming of some varieties lacks originality. (Reptilians...*Sigh* Like out of a bad sci-fi horror movie)

5. What do you think extraterrestrials want with us?
If the did actually find earth? Perhaps to do what we would. Study them. But that's asuming their society is like ours, they could quite easily just want to do other things like harvest our organs.

6. Do you enjoy movies or books that have extraterrestrials? If so, which ones?
I enjoy modernised sci-fi. Things such as Star Trek: Voyager, Battlestar Galactica, that type of stuff, but films go into other well made ones like Independance Day.
I hate The Day the Earth Stood still with a passion though. It's just too incredibly clique. And uses bland,presence-less actors such as Keanu Reeves, who's physically able but has the emotional range of a post.

7. Do you believe Area 51 exists? If so what do you think goes on there?
Probably. It's probably an airbase that carries experiment aircraft etc. Or, it could just be another airbase, but one involved in high priority missions.

8. Have experienced an extraterrestrial sighting or UFO sighting? If so, what did you see?
ET, Most likely not, UFO, Yeah. It was an object in the sky which moved at a uniform speed across the sky at first, before accellerating away. Night sky, object difficult to see and un-lighted except for by moonlight.

9. Do you believe the government is involved in trying to contact life forms outside of our solar system?
Of course... Many governments are openly trying this. There's projects like SETI's who states their objective in their name: Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence.
Given the size of the universe and the distace between stars, I see it as a pretty futile attempt, but oh well, it's their choice.

10. Do you believe crop circles are caused by extraterrestrials or by man? If you do believe they are extraterrestrial what do you believe they meant by making them?
I believe in the man-made idea. People often use the argument of how complex they are. But seriously, it's not exactly beyond human comprehension, if you look at many of the art pieces our race makes. A study which employed university students made an almost perfect crop-circle in a limited time, with more time, and more people, they probably could've done a great job of it.

11. Do you fear extraterrestrials? Why or why not?
I fear anything with the capability to destroy thousands, or even millions with a single device. The human race is the height of that fear right now.
It's safe to assume that any race with the capability to travel to different stars has more powerful weapons and us. Since we've not even close to reaching other stars, and the relationship between weaponry and energy and propulsion systems.

12. Do you believe that extraterrestrials share qualities or traits with humans? If so what do they share?
Hopefully self conscious, emotions and a sense of self.

13. If you were to come into contact with an extraterrestrial what would you ask it?
Questions mostly about how it got to earth. (The technology etc) and what their planet is like. What's there social structure like? Or the political systems? How things work for them back home pretty much.

Nope, so N/A.

The only slightly religious beliefs are ones similar to Buddhist beliefs. That said, I don't believe other aspects of it. So nope, It doesn't contradict my beliefs, and I do not believe in a higher power.

A: Yes, we can't be alone, and hundreds of thousands of people can't suffer from so similar "delusions"

A: I'm pretty sure greys are the most common, if I've experienced encounters that only my subconscious remembers, it was with them

A: Probably pretty close by, they want to study their neighbors and see how we've been doing

A: No, media portrays them as violent, I don't believe they would be

A: They are probably like a long lost relative, they came here a while ago, helped us out, and they like checking up on us

A: Unless a large chunk of Nevada was removed (and I think we'd know about that, especially the people in areas 50 and 52) I believe it's there....there's probably a pretty cool alien base there too

Yes. Most definately believe. I feel you would have to be a very arrogant individual not to acknowledge the possibility that in all the universe (indeed even within our own galaxy) that Earth is the only planet that developed life.

2. If you do not believe in extraterrestrials, what is it that draws you to the idea of them? What interests you about these “cultural phenomenon”? Well I do believe. What draws me to them Im unsure of, I have always held this fasination with the prospect of alien contact. I can clearly remember the point I (attained ?) this fasination. It was around 4 years of age when I said to my mother that I wished that a star would fall out of the sky so I could put t in a jar and take it to school. She then explained what stars where and about the planets (My mother is uneducated in these things and seeing as how I was only about 4 it was a very basic explaination). I was hooked with the possibility of 'other life' and space travel ever since.

No idea. As someone mentioned earlier just take a look at the diversity of life on this planet. To me ET's would most likely visit planets that are similar to their own. If so the similar conditions may see any ET's visiting Earth to be humoid (Bi-ped's) in basic appearence but Im really only guessing.

mmmh, outer space.

They (the script writers and make up artist) portray them based soley on what (and how) they have been told to portray them. This unfortunately is more often then not based on imagination rather then fact. Until an ET steps out of a space ship on the White House lawn (Where they will probably be shot) this is nothing but conjecture.

6. What do you think extraterrestrials want with us?

i'm in two minds over this one. The first being they want nothing. Any race advanced enough to make it here would have no need for or of anything we cold offer. I tend to lean towards the concept that they are just like our sciencitest who travel to the far reaches of the planet to study animals which live in inaccessible and inhospitable areas. My second thought is two fold in that perhaps they themselves have suffered some devasting event either to their race and or planet resulting in a search for a new planet and or a gene theapthy treatment to correct (or alter allowing them to survive on Earth) their own gene sequence.

Yes and while I think it is prudent not to blindly believe that any or all ET's we may encounter will be as cute and well behaved as ET (movie of the same name) I think the current trend of scare mongering is equeally destructive.

Yes, Its an airforce base that has stuff all secrets. As long as people believe that this is a secret base harbouring either (or both) ET's and experimental aircraft then they (the government of the USA) can happily continue on with their secrets nicely hidden at another unknown base. (No I dont know where hence it is unknown)

9. Have experienced an extraterrestrial sighting or UFO sighting? If so, what did you see?

Several sightings which due to the alitude involved could have possibly been satilites (although being familar with how a satilite generally moves and looks I am hesitant to say either way) and one sighting for sure. Just a very bright light, low in the sky and a very loud rumbling sound that made the house vbrate. Only thing I have experience close to the noise and vibrations is a large airfore hurcles (sorry spelling is shit) seeing as how this happened over a residental the chances of it being this is and going unreported by the main stream media is highly unlikey particularly when the noise, vbrantion and light just ceased, it didnt fade away as it should have if it was an aircraft.(PS the airports, both military and civilian where approximately 60 and 45 km's away respectively)

SETI, its common knowledge and it started with the Voerage program. I wouldnt be surprised to have it disclosed within the next few years that at least the nuclear governments have been in contact.

I believe some are made by people while others are caused by an electro-magnetic discharge from within the planet. Just as two snowflakes arent the same complex pattern an electro-magnetic discharge would result in a similar complex pattern being left behind.

yes but only in so far that they have inteligence and curiosity, emotions may be another story entirely

Where would you start. I would pester them into taking me to their home planet (if it is possible) and then I would probably ask questions as they arose, that being when they said something or showed me something etc. I feel you, as a contactee, could risk missing out on so much if you tried to focus on a set list of questions.

I am not religious (more a spirital leaning as opposed to organised religion). ET's where created by the same (obvisously not the exact same) processess that saw life on this planet spawn and evolve.

Yes, in the great vastness of the universe the probability is almost certain that other life has developed.

I would imagine that from eyewitness reports and how evolution has progressed on this planet that most would be humanoid but others maybe of a totally different origin so we would not even be able to detect they exist.

Other habitable planets in other galaxies, but in terms of space travel I would imagine quite local. The so called "Goldilocks Zone" of other galaxies would make sense for life similar to our own but obviously life could have evolved from anything other than carbon based.

I think most of today's culture portrays anything of the unknown with sensationalism and imagination to fill in the gaps of our knowledge. Anything to drawn in audiences and make money.

Hopefully just to study us and maybe even learn something from us that they may not experience as a life form.

I prefer non-fiction to be honest, but anything like "The Interrupted Journey" or scientific theories of space travel and if life elsewhere exists are a good read.

It's common knowledge it openly exists, but details of what they do there can obviously kept secret.

I have had two sightings that where scientifically unexplainable in my opinion, both moved in an unnatural manner and the speed was unbelievable.

Many governments will have this high on their agendas in my opinion, and obviously groups like SETI actively search for signs of life. I suppose it would be like the space race, to see who could make contact first and gain any political benefits. Maybe contact has officially been made but I doubt it due to the agendas of governments (as you can see I'm not a fan of governments!).

I can't see any logical point to crop circles created by extraterrestrials, maybe sometime in history they did but not now. Seems too easy for us to create them.

I do and I don't. I think the world would be a better place with open contact by extraterrestrials, but on the other hand I don't like to think about abductions and been taken against your will.

Maybe in some aspects, but it all depends on how similar they have evolved and what kind of life form they are. From witness reports, it certainly seems they are just as curious as us.

I don't have any religious beliefs so I'm quite happy to accept that life does exist elsewhere and it not contradict anything. You have to be open minded about anything that is scientifically possible.
