BOB DEAN at the Project Camelot Awake and Aware Conference, Los Angeles, 19 September 2009. This is another wonderful, heartfelt presentation by the best loved lecturer on the UFO circuit... and again Bob presents and comments on some of the suppressed NASA slides of Apollo 13, Mars, and Saturn which he has acquired. Enjoy

I don't know that there is ever a good time to tell a crowd you were BFFs with J.C. in a past life.
I watched quite a bit of it, though much of it was rather "large". I had to stop after hearing about the friendship bracelets him and Jesus made before they went off to college.
*He didn't actually say they made bracelets, for those of you double-taking.
**Though it may have been implied.
"Tunnel-vision and the scars to prove it"
So he believes he had past lives. You missed some pretty good stuff by not watching it all.Originally Posted by Temporal Chick

I don't dispute the existence of past lives. I have no way of providing evidence in support or against-- but it came out of left field and felt out of place to me, among the topics being discussed.
My biggest issue with his presentation is that many of his opinions were stated as a fact. This happened this way, that happened that way. Those kinds of approaches in this field make me wary.
The reason I watched as much of it as I did was because he is an entertaining speaker and even though the larger claims were sometimes hard for me to swallow, you sometimes find good information as well. For instance, some of the photos taken by the Apollo crew I found extremely interesting. If they are legitimate, then I say "Woah!"

Much of what he says may actually be facts, that time, may later confirm. Because of his background I find him more convincing, as I do many others like him.
If we can not believe any of those kind of people... then who, really, can we believe? If one chooses not to believe anybody then one is left poking around in the eternal darkness...in a manner of speaking.

I completely agree with your last sentence, but I do have a hard time when people make claims as if they were factual without them having been proven factual. Yes, one day it may be proven -- but it is not proven now (at the very least, not publicly). Perhaps I'm nit-picky. This field certainly attracts a number of individuals who make outlandish claims (I'm not saying Mr. Dean's are in this category, just to clarify), as many of us are well aware, so I am appreciative of those who approach their respective topics with a certain amount of question, allowing for a margin of possible error.Originally Posted by SOUL-DRIFTER
And to be clear, I certainly wasn't implying that I don't support anyone in the fields of UFO research and alien abduction. Quite the contrary.
Personally, some of what Mr. Dean discussed, I am interested in and have been for some time. For instance, his comments about EBEs having a hand in our creation - I believe that is certainly an idea worth considering. I just prefer that proponents of theories approach them as theories and not as a historical definite(s).

I think this extends into other areas, not just about this topic... basically, if we shunned everything anyone ever said we'd turn away a lot of useful information and interesting new developments. One can easily end up being bitter, twisted, cynical and narrow minded, poobarring their way through life... ... gee.. lol.. I think I just described a few of the posters... (just joking.. not).SOUL-DRIFTER:

I've always found that taking notice of information, no matter how far fetched it may sound to some, helps ultimately towards developing lateral thinking... Look at all sides of things and if neither seem right, then look for some explanation, another road, a road which may, or may not take both views into consideration.... it then becomes a possible alternative to consider...
