I agree, altho don't know much about the Dr. you named.

To all, my apologies to not have read this full thread b4 posting the DP clip. Clearly this is old news for most of you. I vow to read threads fully from this point forward b4 contributing. Myself, , I was impressed more with the number of professional, credible folks willing to testify b4 congress about their experiences, as the culture around sighting or experiences of any kind is what it is. Here in US the gov. doesn't want to deal directly with any of it when it comes to it's public. Far better to mine it for potential harm against others? The leap to global thinking being a fairly recent development (apply generous perspective), having primarily to do with our having damaged the planet so seriously we may not survive the effects, IMO. I can only hope ET made contact to talk some sense into our collective governing bodies. That's not meant as a joke. Call me what you like, but we humans can't seem to put the brakes to our harmful, negative behaviors, and faith-based wars. Said enough, I'm certified, a believer!

Oh, one last thing that keeps crossing my mind is that to continue to be locked into our earthly understandings of how things work, may or may not apply. Is that what the "E" in ET is for... there's more that we DON'T know about the universe than what we DO know. (Originally Posted by bill.zen View Post - Well, I'm sure if you do some research you can find an earthly explanation for it.") Am I alone in that thought? Good weekend to all.

No you're not alone in thinking that, both sides are fallible. Skeptics-believers.

There are many things in our world that is unexplainable and some are explainable that is our world, if everything could be picked apart and explained in vast detail then it would be a boring world.

I am positive that people do see UFO's in the sky and some have been abducted, if you just dismiss it as fake and delusional then you are very ignorant to the possibilities.

It is human instinct to say 'i want proof or you are lying', sometimes logic is irrelevant.

thanks for reply Achillesdude. Diversity being key, I can only wish the thinking didn't have to be so strictly 'earthly'. Perfectly called for, I think, to entertain the idea that maybe WE, Earthlings, don't know it all, as much as we'd like to. How far is it to stretch from we are not alone to we are babies in this great playground of a universe, just learning to speak, IMO. Much to be learned if one can let go of our planets current acceptable boundaries, scientifically, morally and otherwise, freeing us to consider what's possible outside our earthly abilities to measure (and control, which may well be at the heart of the debate) the universe containing us. Maybe it's my age, I'm no kid, but it's easier to let go and accept broader possibilities than to fight for the limits others inform and impose on us as permanent, finite, and have otherwise sufficed under the heading "until we know better". Must be the Mom in me, in any event, it feels more zen than some of what I've seen posted in recent days. My dos pesos, keep the change!

PS - logic could also fall under the "until we know better" in my way of thinking!

Thanks for the reply. that is my point exactly about logic, we have certain restrictions. Imo anything is possible both in hypothetical and physical terms.

Might be going to deep hear but here goes, imho i believe the universe to be like a computer program(probably get flamed here lol), in the sense that there are rules and boundaries, i.e the laws of physics, gravity ect. And with any rule it can be bent or broken just like the theories in quantum physics and time travel specifically Albert Einstein theories.

Time travel is considered impossible by many but a wormhole as einstein theorized that if you could create a wormhole you could then bend space/time and thus time travel- it's cheating get my drift.

It's the same thing with near death occurrences and acts of super human strength. How can a woman lift a car of her kid-we say it's adrenaline or is it breaking the rules of physics.

A man fell from a 1,000 ft building probably more and he hit the concrete and didn't have a scratch on his body nor any broken bones-impossible in the rules of our universe or so we think.(True story by the way)

Probably going to get called crazy lol, I was considering making a thread out of this but thought no one would be interested .
