No cam is designed to look directly into the sun.
So this guy puts a filter on it and snaps pixs of the sun.
Everything in the field of vision will show reflection.
That includes airplanes, satellites, and tiny dust particles in the air very close to the cam.
They are artifacts, and if you film a large bright light source, you will get them.
Whatever works, use it.
A good idea stands on its own value independent of authorship.
If it stands or falls on the credibility of the author, maybe it isn't such a good idea.
