Court Rules to Give Acess to UFO file

Berlin / Germany - The Administrative Court of Berlin has decided that the German parliament, the "Deutsche Bundestag", has to give access to a so far secret official report compiled by the "Scientific Research Service of the German parliament" on demand of delegates on the question on the government's knowledge and studies about UFOs and extraterrestrial life. However, the parliament has already appealed against the decision.
I have to wonder why it takes a court decision to get acess to UFO files?Stranger still is that Parliament has appealed,this is costly legal work,so what are they hiding from the public.I suspect the public will never see this report.

We have often assumed that the US knows allot about the UFO phenomenon, perhaps the german gov has a load of info as well!

If they didn't have any useful info why fight it? I don't think the governments of the world will ever give away their secrets in my lifetime. In my children's or grandchildren's lifetime either.

It could open up a can of worms in terms of technology that is currently hidden or perhaps been developed but not really understood. The Nazi Bell for example. High energy electromagnetic fields, perhaps similar to what Tesla was working on. I bet there are a load of interesting things in the high energy field we do not know about.

I am all for knowing as much as possible about this as possible.

Its most likely to assume that everyone government is holding information back from them... I could imagine the U.S is holding more back than most..

This has smoking gun written all over it imo.This special report done for the Parliament on UFO's and extraterrestrial life must have some blockbusting findings in it.I found this

Claimant Mr. Frank R. refers his request to the German freedom of information act (Informationsfreiheitsgesetz , IFG) and demands the release of the paper that the German federal government is still holding back. This report is known to exist and represents a compilation done by the "Scientific Research Service of the German parliament", the "Deutsche Bundestag" in Berlin, on information about the "Search for Extraterrestrial Life and the Realization of the UN-Resolution A/33/426 about the Observation of Unidentified Flying Objects and Extraterrestrial Life". (Note: Together with A/DEC/32/424, A/DEC/33/426 was adopted decision by the United Nations General Assembly in 1978 which called for the "establishment of an agency or a department of the United Nations for undertaking, co-ordinating and disseminating the results of research into unidentified flying objects and related phenomena".)

So far the German parliament, denies access to and the publication of this report with the argument that "the IFG (German freedom of information act) only applies to the parliament as long as it administers public administration duties", as quoted by the Administrative Court of Berlin that continues quoting the German parliament: "The specific area on administrating of parliamentary duties should be excluded from access to information. This includes amongst other things the legwork of the Scientific Research Services to the delegates. Furthermore protection of the intellectual property rights (a kind of the German version of Copyright) applies also for the work of the scientific research service of the German parliament."
