Here are reports of MIBs, MIB like individuals and others that seem intent on retriving artifact(s), photo(s), in intimidating or silencing the witness(s) in some way. Some seem only to be watchers...
I encourage others to look for earlier reports and post them if you can...

Galisteo Junction, New Mexico,
Date: March 26, 1880
Four men were walking there, when they saw a fish-shaped 'Balloon' cruising low in the sky. They could even make out eight or ten figures in the craft, and could hear them babbling in some unknown language. As the object passed overhead, something dropped from it a vase of some sort covered with strange hieroglyphics. The men carted itto the local general store as proof of their sighting, and it was placed on display there. A couple of days later a stranger came into town. He identified himself as 'a collector' and bought the vase for an unspecified amount of money, then, like MrDixsun, he rode off into the western sunset. This particular charade has been repeated endlessly since. Some kind of evidence is found at a UFO site. The person who retrieves it, is soon visited by a stranger who buys it or steals it.
The story might seem apocryphal until you realize there were no operational dirigibles in the US. in 1880. The great 'airship' craze of 1896-97 was still seventeen years away. Communications between Galisteo Junction and the outside world at that time were not the best. Yet somehow this 'collector' from some faroff place heard about the vase and traveled to this remote little town to buy it.
Could this had been someone sent to retrieve the item?
A farmer outside Gem in monster-haunted Braxton County reported seeing an airplane crash in a forest. Planes were a very rare sight in those days, especially in West Virginia, and a crashing plane was big news. According to the farmer, the plane-was very odd in that it didn't seem to have any wings, didn't make any noise, and seemed unusually large. 'As big as a battleship' is. the way the farmer described it. A party of men, including the local sheriff and Cole, systematically searched the woods. Within hours they found the wreck in a small clearing. According to Cole: We weren't the first ones there, though. There were already five or six men in the clearing. Some of them were seemed damned silly in that neck of the woods. Others were dressed in coveralls of a funny color - some kind of very shiney material. They were talking among themselves in a rapid-fire foreign language when we found them. They got real excited when they saw us. The men in coveralls ran into the wreck, like they were trying to hide. Some of our men were carrying guns and one of them said to me, 'By God, they're spies!' and he raised his gun. The strangers were all small, just a little over five feet tall, and they all looked like Orientals. You know, with high cheekbones, slant eyes, dark skin. One of them spoke English. He told us nobody was hurt, that everything was all right. He said he would call on the sheriff later and make out a complete report. There wasn't much we could do. No crime had been committed. Nobody was hurt. But here's the real funny part. While I was looking around I spotted a little thingamajig on the ground. I picked it up and decided to keep it. Don't know why I didn't turn it over to one of the foreigners. Anyway, I put it in my pocket. We all finally went away, leaving the foreigners to fuss with their contraption. It didn't look like much of a flying machine. In fact, I don't think it could fly at all. It was like the fuselage of a modern plane, with windows and all. But it didn't have any wings, tail or propellers. And, like the fanner said, itwas mighty big. I'd say it was at least seventy-five feet long. It filled the whole clearing. I went back home.I was living in Weston in those days. Iwent right to bed. I was pretty tired from all the hiking. About three A.M. somebody started pounding on my door. I got up and looked and there was an army officer standing there. He was dressed in one of those broadbrimmed hats they used to wear, with those leg wrappings and all. It was a US. Army uniform all right. I was inWorld War I. But we didn't see many soldiers in West Virginia in those days. Anyway, except for his clothes he looked just like those foreigners from the air-plane. Slant eyes, dark skin, but he was maybe a little taller. 'You picked up something today,' he said. 'We need it back.' I was half asleep end at first I couldn't think what he meant. Then I remembered the metal thingamajig. It was still in my coat pocket. I went and got it. 'Is this what you mean?' I asked him. He didn't answer. Just grabbed it and walked off without a word. He didn't seem to have a horse or a car. I shuffled back to bed. But the next day I started wondering about it. How had he managed to track me down? A couple of days later I went back to those woods and found that clearing. It was empty. The grass and bushes were all crushed down where the airplane had been but there was no other sign of anything or anybody. You know, I never wrote the story up. After that army officer came by I figured that maybe it was a secret army deal of some kind and I thought it was better to leave it alone.

Three American soldiers were on patrol somewhere in the woods in France when they decided that they would go by a small lake that they enjoyed, and maybe relax by its shores for a while before heading back to their camp. Upon reaching the lake, they were startled to see a saucer shaped craft, roughly 30 or 40 feet in diameter. The craft sat upon a tripod landing gear. Outside the craft, were 3 small creatures, about 4 ft in height, grayish to brownish skin tone. They described the creatures as very fragile looking with skinny arms and legs, big heads, and very big black eyes. They wore some kind of silvery looking clothing that appeared to be seamless. The creatures were very busy hurrying around the craft as if they were trying to fix something. The 3 soldiers stood in silence and awe observing the strange sight for about a minute before they decided to high tail back to camp. After returning to camp, they reported straight away to their commanding officer of what they had encountered. The commander told them that they should not repeat this story to anyone, and that someone would debrief them later. That evening a large black sedan pulled into camp and directly up to their tent. Two very tall men, wearing black suits, and black hats exited the car and walked to their tent. They described the men as very strange looking in facial appearance, with dark black eyes, grayish looking skin, and almost inhuman looking features. They said that the men told them that they could never tell anyone of their story, that it was an issue of national security. They also told them that not only would they be killed if they revealed the story, but that their family members would also be harmed. At that point the strangers named the family members in detail, surprising all three of the men involved. The two men in black then exited the tent, got back into the car, and drove away. The men never identified themselves and the three soldiers didn’t ask. No one else in the camp seemed to notice, and on one else mentioned the strange occurrence.

Several naval officers and crewmen out in a motor launch saw a pulsating cigar-shaped object hovering over the water. They watched it through binoculars and could see a greenish column of tight extending down to the surface of the water. The sea was strewn with dead fish. Suddenly a fast-moving fighter plane appeared, and the object took off, vanishing in seconds. As soon as the motor launch docked, the naval men were surrounded by officious gentlemen in dark suits who hustled them away and held them for hours, questioning them in a manner, one of the witnesses said years later, that 'seemed more aimed at discrediting' them than anything else.
Cherchen Glacier in the Bernina Mountains, Italian Alps
Date: July 31, 1952
Time: 9:30 AM
A 30-year-old Italian engineer, Gianpietro Monguzzi, and his wife were mountain climbing in northern Italy. They were struggling up the Cherchen Glacier in the Bernina Mountains.
"It was about 9:30 a.m.," Monguzzi explained shortly after the incident, "when we saw this circular machine a transparent dome on top swoop low and land 75 or 100 feet away from where we were standing. I wanted to move closer to it, but my wife became frightened and begged me to stay with her."
Lying in the snow, Monguzzi says he unlimbered the camera he was carrying, a Kodak Retina I. It was loaded with fast black4nd-white film and was equipped with a Schneider f.3.5 lens. He set it at infinity, f.8 1/300 of a second. (With this type of camera at this setting every-thing closer than 25 feet would be out of focus.) After snapping a picture of the object, he and his wife were astonished to see a normal-sized being walk around from behind it and inspect its underside with a long flashlight with a glowing sphere on the end of it. This being was dressed in a space suit, wearing a helmet, a pack of some sort on its back and heavy, possibly weighted shoes.
Monguzzi excitedly snapped away, he reports, taking a series of pictures as the creature stiffly walked around the craft and bent over to look under It. An antenna had unreeled above the object after it landed and it looked as if the space-suited being was also wearing an antenna. The two witnesses could not see any form of landing gear. The object had settled directly onto the snow, its convex body leaving a circle on the spot. After completing its inspection, the creature disappeared behind the thing again and it lifted noiselessly into the air and flew away. Monguzzi even took a picture of its departure.
He was certain that he had taken the most astounding pictures of the century. And perhaps he had. But when they were developed, they looked too good to be true. A Hollywood special effects studio could not have done a better job with the latest in table-top photography techniques. The lighting was perfect. Too perfect. The bright mountain sun bouncing off the shimmering snow and ice produced a high contrast. The object was clear and distinct, and the creature was well outlined and appeared as a human-sized being might appear at that distance (75 feet) under those circumstances. At long last, the world had "proof" that flying saucers existed and that some kind of "human" life was riding around in them. Or so he thought. As soon as the existence of the pictures became known, and the young Italian didn't make much of an effort to keep them secret, he was inundated with reporters and, he claims, "an American secret agent" turned up at his cottage disguised as an Italian bersagliero (military ski trooper) and questioned him closely through an entire night, trying to get him to contradict his story. Later he sold the pictures to the Roman magazine EPOCA and was horrified when they were published with a caption identifying them as clever fakes. The conservative Italian Edison Society, of which he was a member, was also horrified. They booted him out unceremoniously. Regrettably, the director of the Society was also Monguzzi's boss at the Monza industrial plant near Milan. He fired the now disgraced photographer. Today Monguzzi prefers not to discuss the incident. "They cheated me," he told one UFO investigator. "This bad joke of the journalists made me lose my job as well as my membership in the Edison Society. I was in fact out of work for a year and a half."
I have copies of his photos. Pretty amazing pictures.
Serchio in San Pietro has Vico, Lucca, Tuscany, Italy
Date: July 24, 1952
Time: 3:00 AM
Carlo Rossi, a 53 years peasant, was fishing as he used to in the morning in river Serchio in San Pietro, when he suddenly saw a strange gleam; which was diffused from a place of the river. He was intrigued and moved in this direction, and arrived at the level of the place where the luminosity spread, he saw a black object in the shape of a disc, that hovered at very a low altitude above the river. The disc had a two meters thick flat rim and a diameter of 20 to 25 meters. On the rim of the disc, there were oval openings. In its center, there was a turret, which exceeded on approximately three meters from the lower part of the disc and half a meter on the top part. This turret was transparent and large like a room. Inside in, there was a bluish flame that came from some mechanisms reflected on the surface of the disc. In the lower part of the disc, there were five propellers that protruded out of there, all around, equidistant one the other. On the top part, there were three propellers: one as large as the circumference of the disc, two others were above it, smaller and smaller. From the craft, a pipe came out and went towards in the river's waters as if to suck water.
A porthole opened in the higher turret and showed a human face with a kind of diver's helmet, who started to look around, and at a certain time, this man extended his arm and pointed his finger towards Rossi. Rossi became afraid, fled and was threw himself at the ground. At this moment he saw a green ray shot in his direction and felt an electrical shock in all the body. Looking up, he saw that the object had gained altitude, and was getting away in the sky at very high speed in direction of Viareggio.
On September 15, 1952, whereas he was going to his favorite place at the end of the day, a foreigner who seemed to await him, greeted him and asked him whether he had seen a plane, or some other flying machine above the river. The unknown man was dressed of dark blue, had a very angular face and a penetrating glance; which prompted some authors in saying that he was one of the infamous "Men-In-Black" characters. He spoke in Italian with a strong accent of the Scandinavian type. Rossi felt threatened, told the man that he hadn't seen anything. The man offered him a weird cigarette that had a gilded mark on the side. Rossi puffed on it and was at once dizzy and nauseous. When Rossi wanted to keep the cigarette, the man took it, crushed it and threw it in the river, then he left. Rossi feared that "someone wanted to silence him", and he is said to have gone to the prosecutor of Lucca where he is said to have made a sworn statement about his fling disc sighting.

A pair of strange looking men, described as over 6’ 2” tall, visited a local attorney’s office. Wearing old tattered clothing, with bluish-green skin tone and peculiar looking pointy ears. Both men claimed they were experts at locating “missing persons.” At one point one of the men made a deep wedge with his bare hands into the top of a metallic cabinet of at least half an inch in depth. Unnerved by their strange behavior employees called the local FBI office, but upon the arrival of the agents, the two enigmatic strangers had totally vanished.

A couple eating supper at a local restaurant saw a strange “man” or entity sitting in the back of the restaurant. The man was sitting still with his hands on his knees, he was very tall, & his head and shoulders were higher than any other person there. He was silent & sat still staring at everyone. He wore a dark brown suit; he apparently noticed the witnesses looking at him, gout up and walked out. He wore very peculiar five toed dark brown shoes and had a very narrow heel.
