Story

An alien ship enters earhs atmosphere after destroying the international space station. The USS midway tracks the ship on radar and sends out an f18 hornet to investigate. After shooting it down, the alien pilot is not killed in the crash.

A very good short film. I use adobe premiere pro and after effects and i also want to use some 3d graphics to make s simple ufo. What do you surggest? Which is the easist program I can use for this

Sounds like a movie i have seen, close to it anyway.

There is also a UFO report that is close to it, it happened in Iran.

I used after effects, poser and 3d studio max to create most of that and sony vegas to put it all together. So if you fancy making a cgi ufo i recommend 3d studio max.

Wow, that's really well-done!

Things I liked the most:
(1) Explosions were done very well, especially the missile that hit the ground.
(2) Shots of the hands on the flight controls were superb: very realistic.
(3) The pacing of the story was very good.

Do you mind a few critiques? Overall, it's really excellent, and normally I wouldn't critique at all, but obviously you have a lot of talent and skill, so if I may offer a few thoughts:

(1) At the very beginning, there's a kind of tunnel effect as the ship is flying through space ... now I only watched the YouTube vid, so I don't know if it's different in the better-quality vids, but there are a few places where the 'tunnel' seems to skip ... where it doesn't seem to flow smoothly. Again, this is nitpicking. It's not like I could come within a thousandth of the quality you produced.

(2) When the alien ship attacks the space station: there's a sound of the explosion. If I may suggest something not often done in sci-fi movies: try removing the sounds (since there's no sound in space). Instead, see if you can produce a dramatic effect with the music. The TV show 'firefly' is one of the few sci-fi series have silent space, and it's something I admired.

(3) When we first see the alien, it's out of the ship. However, it's not really clear how it got there. Chances are, if it were thrown from the ship, chances are it would have been killed. I would either show it STILL in the craft, or leave some other signs that it exited the craft on its own.

So there are my nitpicks and suggestions. Still, though: outstanding. It was fun to watch.

thanks for the comments. The video was meant to be just a video test of a fighter chasing an alien. I originally planned to use 2 fighter planes attacking, then the video evolved into what it is now.

The realistic flight controls bit you mentioned was actually real stock footage. I appreciate the whole no noise in space situation, but I love my sound effects and star wars would be a very boring, quiet film without it.

Anyhow, I do plan on making a sequel soon, after all the alien is loose on the planet and his mates are on the way to find him

Unlucky for the alien to have been shot down in a hostile country .. he'll end up in a orange suit with shackles... need a over dramatic rescue attemp now...
