I was ten years old when I saw this. I was playing on the hill behind our house with my brother and two neighbour kids. I looked up and saw the sun. I went back to paying attention to everybody else and I suddenly realised that the sun was in the wrong position for that time of day. I looked up again and sure enough it was there and it was going down in the east. My brother thought that I had lost interest in what he was saying and was trying to get my attention. The neighbour boy looked at me and asked me what I was looking at. I told him that I was looking at the sun. He thought that I was behaving stupidly as people should not look at the sun with the naked eye. I kept looking at this sun setting visibly in the east and he asked me again what I was looking at. I told him that the sun was setting in the east. He told me that the sun sets in the west, not the east and I was being silly. I asked him to look at it and see for himself. I pointed out the sun that I had seen and He told me that it was not setting. It was staying where it should be in the sky. Just then his sister asked me where the sun was in the sky and why it should set in the west. I explained about the rotation of the earth and how it was supposed to happen. Then I looked for it again and saw the sun but it was much higher up in the sky than I remembered the last time I looked. I looked over at the neighbour boy and he was looking in a different direction. I looked in his direction and saw that the sun was indeed setting in the east. We made sure of this by reminding ourselves where the sunrise occurred at our lattitude and area. Everybody agreed on where the sun should rise from where we were according to the time of year. Yet when I looked at it, it was setting and growing bigger! Then I looked further up in the sky and saw the same familiar sun where it should be. I thought, "Could it be?" I suddenly had the idea that what I was watching was not the sun at all because there were two suns in the sky! One was rising perfectly normally to it's zenith and the other one was getting larger and setting more visibly in the east. I told everybody that that was not the sun. The neighbour boy thought that I was playing a game intended to frighten everybody and thus make them look like fools to my psychological practical joke. He csaid that it must be the sun. It was the same colour and about the same size as the sun. I told him that it couldn't be the sun because the sun was over there! ( I pointed to the real sun. ) He looked at it and said, so? That was the sun. I asked him what the other thing was. He looked at it and said that that was the sun. I asked him if he saw only one sun in the sky or two. He told me that there was only one sun in the sky and that was it! I asked him to look at another object that looked like the sun. I pointed to the one that was higher in the sky. He said that that was the sun. I asked him which object was the sun. I ointed out both of them and then he suddenly realised that there were two suns in the sky! My brother was a little slower to realise it as he was trying to meet the expectations of what he was supposed to see and not meeting them, couldn't bring himself to admit that we were seeing two objects when there should be only one. The neighbour girl was getting scared at our talk of two suns in the sky and one was landing nearby! She wanted me to take her and her brother home before going home myself, alone. My brother was all for running home on his own. Since the hill was between our homes, I wanted to go home with my brother and I wanted the neighbour kids to go home together without me. I also wanted to do some rough measurements. I held my thumb up to the setting object and it was bigger than my thumb at arm's length. I held up two thumbs at arm's length and just covered it. I moved one thumb over the other and the object was slightly bigger than one and a half thumbs at arm's length. I tried to get an idea of where it was heading and assumed that it was heading for a field about half a mile away. ( There was no clear landing areas nearer than that on it current trajectory. The next nearest one was over two miles away. It might have been over three miles, but I'm not good at judging distances. ) I watched it slowly settle down and it was in the position of the sun at about six o'clock in the morning before we all went to our respective homes. On another day, I measured the distance from my eye to my thumb and concluded that it was about 20 inches away. I measured my thumbs and the two covered one and a half quarters. A Canadian quarter is one inch in diametre. So it appeared to be about 1 1/4 inches at that distance when I was looking 21 inches from my eyes. I measured the distance from the supposed landing field ( we had heard a lot of strange noises during the day at times from the field. Sort of like a bird warbling but it got the abrupt cut off of a PA system. The sort of "clunk" at the end. ) to the place that I viewed the event and couldn't stay on a straight line. I remeasured it and counted my steps and concluded that it was about half a mile from where I was. I didn't really measure it exactly. I can't walk straight up a hillside that steep. So my error was from about half a mile ( 2640 ft. ) to 2900 ft. I think that 2700 to 2800 ft was about right but have to take into account that I didn't walk as straight as a laser. If it was at the minimums, it was a sphere about 140 feet in diametre. At my guesstimate it was more like 160 to 170 feet in diametre. ( I get 165 when I do the math. ) Quite a large "sun" to be landing nearby on the earth. Not as large as some other UFO's that are reported, but a respectable size.Take note that this object was not doing any fancy maneuvering or anything like that. It was descending straight down or as straight as I could see. At the time that I used my thumbs for reference, it appeared to be at it's maximum size. I never waited to find out! It looked just like the sun in colour and appeared to be smaller in size in the beginning. The apparent growing and lowering tipped me off that it was a bit unusual. I remembered sphere's like this from my "dreams" about being abducted. The sphere was lit up as if it was glowing from the inside. I think that they fired up the drive to give us a beacon to follow as the gravity drives generate light as a byproduct of interaction with an oxygen/nitrogen atmosphere. I even posted a topic about flying one of these.

This was not a dream. This was about as real as it gets without actually touching it. The neighbour kids came back to me and asked me to play at a later date. They were wary of standing in the same spot for fear that it actually called the object to be observed. We stood there for a while and nothing happened. They calmed down but refused to play in that spot for a couple of weeks. When I asked them about it, they remembered it the same way that I wrote it out here. I think that as memories go, it is about 95% accurate. I know. Memories are edited and details added or taken away. I do think that I remember things like measurements, but I can't be absolutely certain.

So what you actually saw was a UFO off in the distance coming nearer and settling down to land somewhere?

That was my interpretation of events. It came down too slowly to be a piece of space debris. It stopped getting bigger and slowed down when it was where the sun would be at about 6 o'clock in the morning local time. There are errors in measurement that I can't resolve. It could be bigger than 165 feet in diametre if it was farther away. A fairly large ship, but not colossal. More volume than a jumbo jet and it came down slowly, almost vertical. In previous posts, I wrote about how I used psychic powers and didn't appear to be afraid of anything. Yet in this one, I write about how I am scared. There is three levels of awareness that I seem to experience. The first "normal" one where I believe I am ordinary. I scare easiest in this one. The second, "normal abduction" where I am friends with the greys and not frightened by them. The third "abnormal abduction" where I know things that I can't know normally and see my life as a script that I can peruse at leasure and suggest changes. I am a bit confused in this mode as I can't remember exactly where in my life I am. Each event looks similar to other events. One abduction looks like something similar in the future or the past. "Normal" is the easiest to get along in.

This ship that I saw in the daytime is similar to one that I "dreamed" about flying at night going to the big city. I think that time it was reported by some people when it was spotted crossing the river because the cloaking field was off for some reason. ( To allow me to see it for the abduction, I think.) I didn hear a report of a UFO spotted near the city, but they were unable to confirm it with other eyewitnesses. If I had taken a picture of it when it was landing, ( I didn't have a camera ) it would have looked like a picture of the sun. No real proof. The sun and the object were never in the same camera viewing area from my perspective to allow a picture to be taken of both of them at once. Also, such a picture would have been attributed to a lens flair. A quite reasonable, but wrong interpretation of what we saw. We all saw the same thing and the sun moved normally in one direction and the other moved in another direction. I asked my brother last year about what he saw and he had to be reminded, but he concurs with me on what he saw.
